“Check Fraud, Check 21 & Identity Theft:  New Technology, New Defenses"
The explosion in check fraud and identity theft has caused prudent financial managers to implement tighter controls to protect themselves and their companies.  The liability for check fraud losses has shifted due to revisions in the Uniform Commercial Code, which imposes liability for fraud losses on both the bank and its customers.  R.
