Special Presentation: — Herschel Beard presented information on the new ALTA consumer initiative. — The board voted unanimously to adopt the new consumer initiative and support the Principles of fair conduct for the Oklahoma Land Title Association. |

Vice President's Report: — Mary Ann Nelson reported on the SLRAC and association officers/executives meeting at the ALTA convention. — Marry Ann reported that Katty Johnson is no longer with the insurance office. Erwin Edwards will be temporary contact person at the insurance office. — There will be a meeting with Kim Holland and OLTA board members on November 6, 2007 at the Capital. It would be good to have an agenda before meeting. — Mary Ann would like to schedule the 2009 OLTA convention. Tentative date will be April 2nd-5th. — Greg Wright will be the speaker at the Owners/Managers Meeting February 18, 2008. — Jerome Main might be able to speak at 2008 convention and trying to get it with credited hours. |

President Elect's Report: — Chaney Haynes reported on the Regional meeting, and that they went really well, with good attendance. |

Executive Secretary's Report: — Trudy will visit Tanglewood Resort to finalize details for summer meeting. That will be some time in the middle of July. — Trudy will be meeting with Element Fusion to go over our web site with them. |

Committee Reports: → Education — Basic Closing school will be next week October 18, 2007 at OSU Oklahoma City. — Education committee will meet next month. → Public Relations — — There are still OLTA history books to be delivered. — Will work with Jerod and try to get a piece in the news papers about OLTA history. → Membership — → Legislative — → Research — President's Report: — Catherine will be sending a letter to Gary Kermott, Greg Kosin, Chuck Kovaleski, James Cox and Mark Hernick that will let them know that OLTA will adopt and support the Principles of the Consumer initative. — Went to Missouri convention and set in on their new governing board. — There has not been any information released on the new abstractor's board yet. — The Uniformity committee will be the liaison between OLTA board and the new Abstractor's board. — Catherine sent out the 2nd draft of the by laws changes There was a motion to accept. The motions was seconded. The motion was voted on and passed — Catherine brought up an idea to put a question in the title gram and have a contest with the first person to answer the question right would win a prize. — Kelly Romo asked if anyone would be interested in giving a presentation at the ALTA tect conference at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. — Next meeting will be at Silo at Red Berry Farms. Nov. 15 at 1:00. |
