Welcome: President Catherine Blakely welcomed the members and guests, and the meeting was called to order at 3:45 pm. |

Special Presentation: Kraettli Epperson presented information to the Board on the abstract companies currently in receivership. As it becomes available, he will provide information on the sale of a certain number of those companies. |

President Elect's Report: — Mary Ann attended the Dixieland Title Association Convention. — Mary Ann reported on recent conversations with the Oklahoma Insurance Department regarding the emergency rules adopted earlier this year. — Our PayPal account is now functional. |

Vice President's Report: Chaney reported that the regional meetings in Woodward and Lawton have gone well. There are 4 remaining: tonight in Tulsa; Tuesday September 18 in Stillwater; Wednesday, September 26 in Guthrie and Thursday, September 27 in Krebs. |

Treasurer's Report: The final Treasurer's report was presented. |

General Counsel's Report: Jerry Hemry reported that copyright laws do not apply to the current issue of abstract companies providing copies of documents to customers. |

Executive Director's Report: — Trudy is in the process of moving the storage items to a new building. — Trudy reported her findings on information with regard to our website needs. — The Basic TI School was a success with 60 in attendance. We obtained several non-member attendees through the advertisement in the Oklahoma Bar Journal. |

Committee Reports: → Education — Basic TI School was held on September 11th and went well. — Basic Closing 101 scheduled for October 25 at OSU/OKC is in the works. — Basic Abstractors School will be held on January 22 and 23 and is on schedule. — The Owners/Managers meeting will be held on Monday, February 18 (President's Day) at the Oklahoma History Center in Oklahoma City. → Public Relations — No report. → Membership — No report → Legislative — The Governor has not yet completed the process of appointing members to the Oklahoma Abstractors Board, → Research — No report. President's Report: — Todd Humphrey has resigned from Board. Catherine is currently working on locating a replacement. — Pursuant to a conversation with Randy Barbour, a member of the Kansas Land Title Association, OLTA has been asked if we are interested in reviving the multi-state retreats. It would be Oklahoma's turn to host. Via a discussion, it was determined that our attendance at the various state conventions is sufficient. — Catherine brought up additional potential bylaws amendments. The items were discussed and the Constitution/Bylaws Committee will incorporate all potential amendments in a draft to be reviewed at the October Board meeting. — Catherine asked the Board their thoughts on whether or not a member should have to re-apply following a period of unpaid dues. The discussion will be continued at the October Board meeting. — Board officers are asked to attend a full-day joint meeting of SLRAC and association officers/executives during the ALTA Convention. — ALTA is helping to sponsor a Habitat for Humanity house in Chicago. Attendees at the annual convention will have the opportunity to contribute either time or money. — ALTA has list of contacts for each state to help with communication with and among the state associations. — The makeup of the Bill Gill Award Committee was discussed, and it was confirmed that the committee should consist of the Past President (who will chair the committee), the President, the Vice President and the two most recent award winners. — From now on, upcoming calendar events will be included in the monthly Board meeting notices. — The November 15th Board meeting will be held at The Silo at Redberry Farm, 4649 W 41st in Tulsa (on the grounds of Cedar Rock Inn). We will meet at 1:00 pm for lunch prior to the meeting, so attendees will need to RSVP. |

New Business: — The ALTA recently launched a Title Industry Consumer Initiative. We will be given additional information during the ALTA convention, but everyone should visit the consumer website www.homeclosing101.org that was developed as part of this initiative. |
