"RON/RIN - What You Need to Know!"

Digital Closings and Remote Online notarization have been growing rapidly over the last several years as a closing option for consumers and settlement agents.  COVID 19 has accelerate the utilization and brought to light the need for alternatives to closing where in person closings aren’t feasible or desired.  This course will walk thru the Remote Online Notarization (“RON”) and Remote Ink Signed Notarization and provide a broad overview of the processes, operational considerations and best practices to successfully deploy this closing option. 

The objectives for this course are for title insurance agents, escrow officers, notaries, real property attorneys and real estate professionals to understand what these closing options are and how they might be leveraged.  Participants should gain a thorough understanding of the differences between RON and RIN, the national landscape on how these options are being leveraged and obtain a better grasp on how they might operationalize these options.  We will discuss the legal framework, best practices and operational considerations, including technology requirements.
